| Psalm 119:52 NAS "I have remembered Thine ordinances from of old, O Lord and comfort myself." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- When the "immediate" screams for attention, and we experience a sense of "helplessness", we need not also become "hopeless". Through scripture we see God's people looking back at their history with Him to see that He has ALWAYS been faithful. And we, too, as His children, can be assured by Scripture, that He forever shall be faithful to us for He is the same God of our today's and tomorrow's as He was of our past."Be of good cheer, my people for I remain to be a good God". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our struggle is not necessarily "against" people and situations; but, our struggle is to actively fight to enter into His rest, lest an "evil heart",which is one of unbelief, should take hold of us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nehemiah 4:14 NAS "Do not be afraid of them ( whoever they may be to us, people or situations)Remember the Lord who is great and awesome and fight FOR your brothers, your sons, your wives, and your houses". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Could intercessation be the aspect of our fight "for others" vs. for ourselves? WE ARE IN BATTLE; But simply put: Our fight for "ourselves" is to stay in faith and rest. Our fight for others is PRAYER.
